What is the cost?

Drinks are available by donation - whatever you can or wish to help out with (or nothing at all).

We’re here to build community, not a business. Each month, we’ll cover costs up to a limit. When that cap is reached...  the “free/cheap” part takes a pause — but the welcome continues.

You’re always free pull up a chair and stay awhile:

• Bring your own beverage

• Switch to coffee or tea (we'll always cover that)
  
  

Can I bring my own drinks?

Yes!  Feel free to bring whatever you'd like. Glassware is available.

Can I bring friends?

Yes — you’re welcome to bring friends! Just check in with us first so we know who’s coming and to make sure there’s there isn't an activity that it might conflict with.

If you’re reading this, it means you received our personal invitation to drop by whenever we’re open. That invitation is just for you, so please don’t pass along our website. You may make suggestions for US to pass along.

Come on by to share, laugh, or just hang out.

Can I bring meals for myself?

Yes! Come on over with your ready-to-eat meal, or order food to be delivered. Dinnerware is available. 

We occasionally offer meals, as well — pancakes after church, or events.

Why is it called The Rock?

1. Jesus is our Rock — the firm foundation on which we build our lives.

2. We want The Rock to be a firm foundation for community too.
  

3. We're musicians and music lovers. Guess what our favourite genre is?

4. Dwayne Johnson seems like a cool dude.  (Okay, that's not really a reason.)

5. We've been to Alcatraz a.k.a. "The Rock" (... also not really a reason.)

6. It's short, catchy, and easy to remember.

What if I cannot afford to donate to cover the cost of my meal?

A few free meals are covered for anyone who can't afford to pay. They're simple and affordable to provide, so extra donations by others may add a couple of "free meals".

After those free meals run out, you're still welcome to bring your own and join in the fellowship.

Where is The Rock?

It's a private spot, so we keep the location just for friends.

Is The Rock available for hosting private events?

The Rock is a private space for community and fellowship. We don't host outside events, since we're not a business and aren't insured for that.
